London Summer Ready

Written By: Reema Ameer

Living in the desert means come the dry, arid climate of summer, I cannot wait to head west to London with my two daughters. For me, there's no greater city on this planet in terms of things to do. It has it all, from museums and art galleries to the greenest of parks and perfect weather between June to August.

My favourite place to stay is the Taj St James. It's a quaint little hotel that blends the generosity of Indian hospitality (Taj is an Indian-owned hotel chain) with the 17th Century cobbled charm of London's City of Westminster. Whatsmore is that everything you can possibly wish to do, from shopping to dining and all the capital's main tourist attractions, is within walking distance via a stroll though St James Park.

I'm talking about trips to the Tate Modern, a round on the London Eye, lunch at one of Knightsbridge's many quaint cafes, shopping sprees at iconic department stores such as Liberty and Selfridges, or just a stroll along the Serpentine.

A must try for lunch for those with a spicy palette is the Fat Pundit on Berwick St in Soho and for a quintessentially British meal, there's none other than The Ivy.

You'll be out from morning to night and what better piece of clothing to see you through the day than Reema Ameer's wear-everywhere RARA pants. Dress them down for the day with a pair of cool sneakers and up for the night with some sexy Gianvito Rossis.

There you go, you are London-summer ready!
